​Thank you for visiting my website. I'm Anna Munson, and I'm running to be your Representative in the Oregon Legislature, House District 19.

We need a course correction. Leadership that listens, respects taxpayers, and that puts freedom and affordability front and center. It is truly lacking in Oregon, so this is why I'm running.

I spent the last year working in the Capitol and I understand how it functions.

​

In the Legislature, my aim is to bring:

​

• 🛠 Policies and solutions – “out of the box” thinking that support working families, small businesses, and retirees.

• 💸 Decrease the size of state government and demanding accountability. We spend too much on a bloated system.

• 🏠 Solutions for the public safety, homeless, and drug/fentanyl crisis     

• 🗳 A balanced, transparent government that reflects the voice of the taxpayer

I have been a Salem resident for over 45 yrs. I've lived in the same home for over 40 years on a fixed income with my husband, a disabled veteran. The rising cost of living in Oregon is making living here very difficult, forcing me and others to have to make decisions to cut back on things we need, just to pay taxes and government fees which are driving up cost of living on all fronts.

 

We all have family or know someone who has lost the hope of being able to afford to buy a home and a car because state and local taxes take so much our earnings.

Even as 94% of Oregonians weighed in saying NO to a new tax. I watched from within the Capitol as the governor and many legislators would not even consider other solutions. We know where the money comes from: you and me, the tax payers.We watched as the governor and the super-majority legislature passed the second largest increase of taxes and fees for all taxpayers. This bad decision works against us all!
 

This campaign is about restoring common sense and protecting the Oregon we love. I’m ready to listen and work with anyone who is committed to solutions that improve the livability, affordability and accountability of state government without increasing our taxes.
