Some of Anna's Priorities

Affordability and
Cost of Living

Oregon has become increasingly unaffordable for seniors, working families, and small business owners. Rising taxes, fees, and government spending are placing a growing burden on households already struggling to keep up.

Anna believes the state has a spending problem, not a revenue problem. Families across Oregon are forced to make careful financial decisions every day, and state government should operate with the same discipline.

Her priorities include:

  • Limiting new taxes and fees

  • Reviewing and reducing unnecessary government spending

  • Increasing transparency and accountability in how taxpayer dollars are used

  • Focusing resources on essential services that directly benefit communities

Education

Oregon’s education system is not delivering the results students and families deserve. Academic performance in reading and math ranks near the bottom nationally, and recent policy decisions have lowered standards rather than raising expectations.

Anna believes students succeed when expectations are clear and accountability is strong.

Her priorities include:

  • Strengthening academic standards in core subjects

  • Ensuring students are prepared for careers or higher education

  • Increasing accountability for outcomes in schools

  • Supporting policies that prioritize student success over bureaucracy

Supporting Small Businesses

Small and medium-sized businesses are the backbone of District 19, but many are struggling under increasing regulatory burdens and rising costs.

Anna believes that when businesses grow, jobs grow, and communities become stronger.

Her priorities include:

  • Reducing excessive licensing requirements

  • Evaluating and limiting rising state fees

  • Removing unnecessary regulatory barriers

  • Supporting an environment where businesses can expand, hire, and succeed

Public Safety and Community Stability

Communities across Oregon are facing challenges related to homelessness, drug addiction, and public safety. These issues affect quality of life, economic stability, and public trust.

Anna supports practical, results-driven approaches that address root causes while restoring safety and order in communities.

Her priorities include:

  • Supporting effective responses to the fentanyl and drug crisis

  • Promoting policies that improve public safety

  • Encouraging accountability in state and local programs addressing homelessness

  • Focusing on solutions that produce measurable outcomes

Accountability in Government

Many Oregonians feel their voices are not being heard. Major decisions are often made without meaningful consideration of public input, leading to frustration and a loss of trust.

Anna believes government should be transparent, responsive, and accountable to the people it serves.

Her priorities include:

  • Ensuring greater transparency in legislative decisions

  • Encouraging public input and engagement

  • Holding government agencies accountable for performance

  • Restoring trust between citizens and state leadership
